Not so long ago, I found myself looking retirement right in the face after a great career as a boudoir photographer was more or less brought to a crashing halt by a stroke. But you know what they say about old passions – they never really fade away. So, I’m starting a new journey, baby steps at first, sharing my cockeyed view of the world at large through my lens.
I’m looking for something different through the viewfinder these days. Having battled my own lifelong struggles with body image, working with other women and showing them the beauty they could never manage to see was a sort of healing, not just for my clients, but for me too. Now I’m looking to document everything through my camera’s lens and share it with anyone who stumbles onto this website.
Born in Michigan and raised up by the hair in the heart of Wisconsin, my roots stretch all the way to eastern Kentucky. Social media, every book Stephen King has ever written and the occasional rendezvous with Jim Beam used to be my diversions of choice, but in the past three years I’ve drifted away from them.
I’m a sister, a mama, a grandmama, and a devoted wife for 36 years. My beliefs mirror my passions – advocating for the freedom to make choices about our own bodies and embracing the simple truth: love knows no boundaries.
So, that’s me – a retired photographer turned (hopeful) storyteller, capturing the untamed beauty of life. Just like my photos, I believe everyone’s stories deserve to be told.
